231 people came to In-Worship 2 last Fri 24 Oct 08, 5 original local worship songs from City Harvest Church, Faith Ministries, Covenant Presbyterian Church, Cairnhill Methodist Church and Faith Community Baptist Church were introduced during a time of extended worship. Two interesting things about the songwriters: First, the song “Picture of You” was written by brothers from the Catholic church, Gerard Kevin and Patrick Ng, and they represent Faith Ministries. We’re glad to have our Catholic brethren join us at In-Deep Worship! Second, most of the lyrics of the song “You’ve Won My Heart” were written by Evan Chou from Cairnhill Methodist Church last year when he was only 7 years old.

During the announcement time, Dr Terence Tan, an oncologist, shared a new song he wrote about the Spirit of God bringing healing – great song! Rev Edmund De Souza spoke about healing, invited those who were sick to stand, he prayed for them as a group without having them come forward, after prayer, two persons confirmed they were healed. We prayed again, this time, Pastor Edmund invited those who were around the ones standing to stand with them and lay hands on them, after some time of prayer, in the end, 25 testified that they were either completely healed or felt that their pain was getting better! I was one of the 25, I’ve had some intermittent chest pain for a few days in a spot where I could pin-point, after prayer, it the pain was gone and is still non-existent today (4 days after)! To God be the glory!

Additional note of praise to God: Some time after having selected the five songs for ID2, the Lord spoke to me about focusing on healing at ID2. Subsequently, I received confirmation from church leaders, TRAC President Rev Dr Wee Boon Hup and the group of fine godly men I consult with on things pertaining to In-Deep Worship namely Pastor Rupert Lim (Cornerstone Community Church), Pastor Fabian Ghui (Covenant EFC), Clement Chow (Wesley MC), Andy Skarda and Daryl Wong (Integrity Music). With this, I proceeded to invite Rev Edmund De Souza to speak on and minister in healing. What’s so amazing to me was, during the worship at ID2, the words “heal” and “healing” showed up in 3 of the 5 local worship songs (that I had not realized before!) and I just felt the Lord saying that we’re focusing on the right thing that night and He was going to heal the sick. God is absolutely amazing, He had planned it all!
